Floating through a labyrinth, leads me to a darkened room. Depression leads me here again. Clumps of my hair on the ground. Patches of scab on my scalp. Soon my skull will be exposed. Teeth are starting to fall out. Contemplate infinity. It’s an endless maze. Smash my head against the wall. Blood dripping from my nose, my remains across the galaxy. Beyond the boundaries of imagination is where I’ll be. This void is real and inside of me. I see his silhouette. Sickle in his hand. Fields of wheat around us. Sun goes down behind him. Fake forward then sprint away. He contemplates then starts to chase. His shadow face I cannot see. His mission to rid earth of me. Send my soul into the void. His mission now is understood. Sent with one task on his mind. I realize I’m his target this time. Tried to run away, but I’m not moving forward. I’ll stay and fight. I turn around and face this foe. Fighting back as he swings. I try to grab and block his blade. Drops of my blood on the ground, but I fight back with little fear. Now I’m finally gaining ground. He begins to doubt himself. He sees my confidence. I snatch his blade, I’m on offense. Now I swing the blade he used on me. I slash his collar bone, now he’s on the retreat. He’ll never haunt my dreams again. Triumph for me on this day. My mind is now my own. I see his silhouette. Sickle in his hand. Fields of wheat around us. Sun goes down behind him. My will and fists are all I need. This monster brewing inside me. I turn the tables in this dream. Waking up will make me free.
