Exhausted. Been at this for days. Tears and snot about my face. Stranded. Raft of blood clot scab. Clinging. Half asleep, half crying. I’m drenched in it. No land in sight. Praying that a vessel maybe will float by and see me. Sea creatures of every kind swimming beneath me. Three miles deep. Beyond this ocean, another awaits. My loved ones so far away. Do they still know that I’m still alive? On my last leg. Creation. Contemplate the night stars. Try to drift away. Dreaming, I forget just for a while. The morning sun will scorch my skin again.
